day 9 : Entrepreneurship ecosystem in India

The days go by. I met my old flatmate from Chennai days. The guy now has valiantly ventured into the startup world. He owns a stratup of his own in chemical engineering, and works with his alma mater IT BHU e-cell. Casually we were discussing startup ecosystem in India, when all of the Varanasi being a holy city was involved with the dos and donts of lunar eclipse.

The startup system in India has really evolved in last 3-4 years, which has seen a splurge of startups, but mostly they are based on information technology sector. It was pleasant surprise to see someone working on a chemical engineering.

Having tea and kachori at it-bhu hostel reminded me of old engineering days, rather undergraduate days. Thank god I still have one more semester left of my masters, but yeah you cant get samosa and chai back in Singapore, be happy with tea-o and coffee-o.

May be I can start off chai ka dukaan in NUS, what an idea sir ji.

BTW my flatmate Tanmay startup
